Where the prayer times come from

Tawkit uses ready yearly prayer-time files for each city, not a live calculation. To use other times, import your own times with a settings file.

Tawkit doesn't calculate the times live on the screen: each city has a ready file with the prayer times of the whole year, inside the app (the "db" city database). That is why it works without internet.

Your mosque uses other times

Many mosques follow a local timetable or another calculation method. You can show exactly those times:

• Edit the times in the settings file and import them with an ID: change the prayer times.
• Create a full year of times for your place with the times generator.
