Custom sound alerts and timed messages

Write alerts like 15.BEFORE.FAJR.(Salam Alaykoum): minutes, BEFORE or AFTER, a prayer keyword, and a message. The message shows for 12 seconds with a short sound.

Tawkit can play a short sound and show a message a number of minutes before or after any prayer time, every day.

The format

Minutes.BEFORE_or_AFTER.Keyword.(Your message)

• Minutes: how many minutes before or after.
• BEFORE or AFTER, in capital letters.
• Keyword, in capital letters: FAJR, SHRQ (sunrise), DOHR, ASSR, MGRB, ISHA, NISF (middle of the night), TULT (last third of the night).
• (Your message) between brackets. Empty brackets = sound only.

Examples

• 15.BEFORE.FAJR.(Salam Alaykoum)
• 10.AFTER.MGRB.(Time for Azkar)
• 1.BEFORE.ASSR.() (sound only, no message)

Good to know

• You can add several alerts; they work 24 hours a day.
• The message stays on screen 12 seconds.
• The alert sound is short and the same for all alerts; it can't be changed. If you don't want sounds, mute the TV: the messages still appear.

Night times

The three times near Fajr (middle of the night, last third of the night, Fajr of tomorrow) can be shown or hidden in the settings.
