The 4 versions of Tawkit: which one to use

Android APK for TV boxes and phones, ZIP/HTML for computers and Raspberry Pi, the web version at offline.tawkit.net with nothing to install, and the old online version with an account.

Tawkit comes in four versions. The first three are the same app; only the way you install it changes.

1. Android APK (recommended for mosques)

For Android TV boxes, Android TVs, phones and tablets. Install once, then it works without internet. Which APK to choose.

2. ZIP/HTML (offline)

For Windows, Mac, Linux and Raspberry Pi: unzip it in a folder and open index.html in the browser. Also the version for people who want to change files themselves (fonts, adhan audio, language files). Install on a computer.

3. Web version: offline.tawkit.net (nothing to install)

Open offline.tawkit.net in any browser, on any device. It needs internet only the first time; then it keeps working offline. The quickest way to start, and the solution for iPhone and devices where you can't install anything. Web version guide.

4. Old online version (with account)

Create a free account at online.tawkit.net and get a page for your mosque. It is older and doesn't have all the features of the other versions.

Which one?

  • Mosque screen used every day: the APK on a TV box, or the ZIP on a computer.
  • Try it now, or no time to install: the web version.
  • iPhone, iPad: the web version, added to the home screen.
